Coby Parker-Garcia
Coby Parker-Garcia, born and raised in San Luis Obispo, fell in love with the wine industry while interning with a local winery in 2002. From that harvest on, he knew his passion was wine, but in particular, Pinot Noir. In 2006 Coby met his wife Katie Noonan, while she was working at a neighboring winery. They had a combined passion for good wines and dreamed of starting a brand that focused on high quality Pinot Noir sourced from their favorite vineyards throughout San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties.

El Lugar
In 2013, Coby and Katie took a leap of faith and made their dream come true by producing their first vintage of El Lugar Pinot Noir. The brand now includes six vineyard designated wines. The focus is to continuing producing wines defined by their place of origin, to represent the vineyards and place of growth. El Lugar remains a small family owned winery with under 1,200 cases produced yearly.
